The skies are turning The heavens are fading Stars disappearing Blood red Apocalyptic skies Black clouds Signs of gloom and pain I dreamed we were rulers of darkness A land eclipsed in twilight But now as I look up to the sky I have dreamed in futility Impossibly, Chasm overhead Undeniably, Mass extinction It's almost like a blight has been cast upon the sky Turning the heavens infernal How is this possible? No abyssal maw could exist like this What god would do this? What god could do this?

Hark! Civilians and shadows Do you see? You see this void? Void up high? This chasm above will cave in For the ends are nigh! When clouds surround and sky turns black A blaze will rain from above When ash collects and earth fades white Our souls will depart from this world When clouds surround and sky turns black Ashes will rain from above When light grows dim and and time stands still We will be born again Fading at last Approaching last breath Don't you now rest No futures, only death

I remember walking down the shore Gazing across the sea It's hard to think this will be no more And all there will ever be And I remember running through the woods Peering through the trees Thinking there was something looking down on us But we have been left to freeze Here we stand, in the trembling cold The winds whisper despair But our spirits will remain after we die out And once the end draws near So take us from life But our memories cannot fade, and cannot die They will wake from death Standing still in time Stranded without light Every day I am reminded Of these carefree times Oblivious to the light and fire But we can no longer hide For inside of me By a truth I abide It's killing me Deep inside Every moment I shall remember When we were filled with desire And had a passion For all with life Deep in my mind Knowing we all will die It burns inside I'm burning alive

If a man dies alone Is he not in pain? When sky was split from stone Was there nothing to gain? In the still of the night The stars resemble the sea I've come to see the light Will you present it to me? If a star shines too bright Will it run out of light? When sky fades with the night Will it fade out of sight? In the still of the night The stars wither like trees I've come to see the light So will you present it to me? If a god dies alone Is he not torn? When blood was fused with bone We die as we were born In the still of the night The stars resemble a flame I came to see the light But all I see is my grave

We used to worship the land Giver of life But now the earth is tainted From corruption of a sin once unknown We were promised we could rule the land Protected from a scourge most vile But here we stand, awaiting our fate From the gods, to be forgotten by time Standing still in time Stranded without light We used to chase the moon Hopeful and carefree But now the sky is filled with dust From the ashes raining above We were promised we could soar in the stars Protected from cosmos malign But here we stand, awaiting our fate From the gods, to be forgotten by time

Shadowdance 12:07
So take my final breath And cast these shadows away Following the earth's last pulse You, too, will fade The shadow of life Further stagnates And time shows no mercy I dreamed we ruled the darkness But awoke to a land of ice Perhaps we'll find our dream in heaven We will find our paradise Harmonious in the night sky A land of eternal twilight Amongst the arms of our savior We can turn darkness into light!
